In Wednesday's league outing, the Spring Lions (Spring, TX) basketball squad nipped the host Dekaney Wildcats (Houston, TX), by a margin of 66-60.

The Lions (10-8) will now prepare for their outing against Westfield (Houston, TX). The Mustangs go into the 6A Region II District 14 outing with a 20-1 record. In their last outing, Westfield got by Benjamin Davis (Houston, TX), 66-44, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 13-12 record. They play next when they travel to Nimitz for a 6A Region II District 14 outing on Saturday, January 22. Dekaney will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 47-45 league win over MacArthur (Houston, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 14-11.
