Massachusetts High School Basketball - Wellesley holds off Needham
January 19, 2022: Wellesley, MA 02481 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Wellesley Raiders (Wellesley, MA) and the visiting Needham Rockets (Needham, MA), saw Wellesley's basketball squad hold off Needham by a tally of 52-45.
With the victory, Wellesley improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host Walpole (Walpole, MA) to confront the Rebels in a Bay State - Herget challenge on Friday, January 21. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Walpole lost 66-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Norwood (Norwood, MA)
Next up, the Rockets confront the Natick Redhawks (Natick, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 21. Needham will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Redhawks come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 64-61 non-league loss to Lincoln-Sudbury (Sudbury, MA).
