Georgia High School Basketball - Central Gwinnett tops Discovery

January 19, 2022: Lawrenceville, GA 30045

Central Gwinnett Black Knights (Lawrenceville, GA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Discovery Titans (Lawrenceville, GA), 57-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Central Gwinnett upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Black Knights travel to Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA) to play the Raiders in a AAAAAA Region 8 bout on Friday, January 21. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 12-4. Habersham Central won 51-48 in their recent league bout against Winder-Barrow (Winder, GA)

Next up, the Titans play the Duluth Wildcats (Duluth, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 7 bout, on Friday, January 21. Discovery will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 52-30 league loss to Archer (Lawrenceville, GA).
