January 19, 2023: Marcola, OR 97454 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Mohawk Mustangs (Marcola, OR) and the visiting Alsea Wolverines (Alsea, OR), saw Mohawk's basketball squad overcome Alsea by a tally of 42-29.
With the victory, Mohawk improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Chiloquin (Chiloquin, OR) to confront the Panthers/Queens in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Panthers/Queens come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Chiloquin lost 46-38 in their recent league challenge against North Lake (Silver Lake, OR)
Next up, the Wolverines confront the Triangle Lake Lakers (Blachly, OR) in a 1A Mountain West challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Alsea will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Lakers come into the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 55-30 league win over Eddyville (Eddyville, OR).
