New Jersey High School Basketball - Eagle Academy over Cedar Grove
January 19, 2023: Newark, NJ Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Eagle Academy (Newark, NJ) and the visiting Cedar Grove Panthers (Cedar Grove, NJ), saw Eagle Academy's basketball squad overcome Cedar Grove by a tally of 56-36.
With the victory, Eagle Academy improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The travel to Weequahic (Newark, NJ) to confront the Indians in a Super Essex - Freedom challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 4-10.
Next up, the Panthers confront the Nutley Maroon Raiders (Nutley, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Cedar Grove will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Maroon Raiders come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 50-47 non-league loss to Barringer (Newark, NJ).
