Rhode Island High School Basketball - La Salle Academy overwhelms Westerly
January 19, 2023: Providence, RI 02908 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI) and the visiting Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI), saw La Salle Academy's basketball squad wallop Westerly by a tally of 79-44.
With the victory, La Salle Academy improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI) to confront the Villa Novans in a State Championship challenge on Monday, January 23. The Villa Novans come into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Woonsocket lost 61-44 in their recent league challenge against East Providence (East Providence, RI)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI) in a State Championship challenge, on Monday, January 23. Westerly will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Townies come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 61-44 league win over Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI).
