The Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) basketball nipped the visiting Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI), 66-59 in Friday's league test.
The Thunderbolts (6-9) will now prepare for their test against North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI). The Skippers go into the State Championship test with a 3-9 record.
The Bulldogs now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop Hendricken for a State Championship test on Tuesday, January 31. Westerly will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 64-56 non-league win over Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT). The Hawks record now stands at 12-1.
