Oregon High School Basketball - Woodburn nips South Albany
January 19, 2023: Albany, OR 97321 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Woodburn Bulldogs (Woodburn, OR) and the host South Albany Redhawks (Albany, OR), saw Woodburn's basketball squad hold off South Albany by a tally of 43-41.
With the victory, Woodburn improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Lebanon (Lebanon, OR) to play the Warriors in a 5A Mid-Willamette challenge on Monday, January 23. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Lebanon won 81-78 in their recent non-league challenge against Willamette (Eugene, OR)
Next up, the Redhawks play the Corvallis Spartans (Corvallis, OR) in a 5A Mid-Willamette challenge, on Monday, January 23. South Albany will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 65-64 league win over West Albany (Albany, OR).
