In Thursday's league outing, the Discovery Spartans (Lake Alfred, FL) basketball squad beat the host Mulberry Panthers (Mulberry, FL), by a margin of 54-35.

The Spartans (13-3) will now prepare for their outing against Lakeland (Lakeland, FL). The Dreadnaughts go into the non-league outing with a 10-7 record. In their last outing, Lakeland was topped by George Jenkins (Lakeland, FL), 39-37, in a non-league outing.
