California High School Basketball - Christian nipped by High Tech SD
January 19, 2023: El Cajon, CA 92019 In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting High Tech SD Storm basketball team scored a tight 44-38 triumph over the Christian Patriots.
In their next game, the Storm face the Francis Parker Lancers (San Diego, CA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 24. High Tech SD will attempt to move on its 8-10 season record. The Lancers enter the match with a 1-5 record after their 97-34 non-league loss to Carlsbad (Carlsbad, CA).
With the defeat, Christian moves to 3-15 on the year. The Patriots travel to San Diego Jewish Academy (San Diego, CA) to face the Lions in a non-league match on Monday, January 23. On a cold, damp evening in El Cajon, a JV game took place between the High Tech San Diego Storm and the Christian Patriots at the Ryan Athletic Center.
The Storm came roaring out of the gate scoring the game's first eight points. The Storm substituted for their starters with 3 minutes left in the first quarter. That is when the Patriots made their move scoring the next 9 points and after exchanging baskets, the Patriots led at the end of the first quarter, 13 to 11.
