November 18, 2022: San Diego, CA 92106 The La Jolla Vikings basketball team (La Jolla, CA), was toppled 43-29 in Friday's non-league battle with the host High Tech SD Storm (San Diego, CA)
The Storm now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Foothills Christian for a non-league battle on Tuesday, November 22.
The Vikings (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mission Hills (San Marcos, CA). The Grizzlies come into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.

Third Quarter
The offense of the Storm got untracked in the third quarter with #43 Isaiah Gutierrez & #24 Anthony Gonzalez scoring 6 pts apiece in a variety of ways. Gutierrez had 3 buckets in the paint, while Gonzalez went 3/4 from the FT line and made 1 three pointer. #11 Brandon Martinez added a bucket to close out the third quarter scoring for the Storm with 14 total points.
The Vikings however, could only muster half of the point total in the frame with 7 points.
2 made FTs by #2 Wyatt, 1 made FT by #4 Gelanny, and a bucket apiece by #12 Kai and #14 Nate.

The Storm continued their offensive onslaught in the 4th frame, but so did the Vikings as both teams scored in double figures, but the Storm won the quarter 16-14 hitting 3 three pointers in the 4th, two by #13 Cezar Thornton for a game total 6 points. #20 Severin Stone would add another three & finishing w/ 8 points, two made threes.
#24 Anthony Gonzalez would go 3/4 in crunch time, 4/5 from the FT line, one three pointer & one bucket for 9 points for the game.
