The Scales Mound Hornets basketball squad scored 50 points and restricted the host River Ridge Wildcats to 42 in the Hornets league victory on Thursday.

With the victory, Scales Mound upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Hornets host Galena (Galena, IL) to play the Pirates in a bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 14-0.
