The Avery Bulldogs basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Leverett's Chapel Lions to 50 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 14-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Avinger for a 1A Region III District 24 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Avery will battle a Indians team coming off a 51-34 league win over Bloomburg (Bloomburg, TX). The Indians record now stands at 2-16.

The Lions (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Tyler Classical Academy (Tyler, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-9 record.
