The Hudson Pirates basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting East Marshall Mustangs to 28 in the Pirates non-league victory on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dike-New Hartford for a North Iowa Cedar - East contest on Tuesday, January 23. Hudson will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 67-66 league win over Union (La Porte City, IA). The Wolverines record now stands at 8-6.

The Mustangs (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Gladbrook-Reinbeck (Reinbeck, IA). The Rebels come into the North Iowa Cedar - West contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Gladbrook-Reinbeck triumphed over South Hardin (Eldora, IA), 81-61, in a non-league contest.
