Iowa High School Basketball - Hudson thwarts Grundy Center
December 1, 2023: Grundy Center, IA 50638 The Hudson Pirates (Hudson, IA) basketball knocked off the host Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA), 66-55 in Friday's non-league test.
The Pirates (3-0) will now prepare for their test against Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA). The Cougars go into the North Iowa Cedar - East test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Sumner-Fredericksburg went down by Gladbrook-Reinbeck (Reinbeck, IA), 53-20, in a non-league test.
The Spartans now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to North Mahaska for a non-league test on Monday, December 4. Grundy Center will encounter a Warhawks squad coming off a 80-60 league loss to Montezuma (Montezuma, IA). The Warhawks record now stands at 1-1.
