Ohio High School Basketball - Temple Christian holds off Elgin
January 19, 2024: Lima, OH 45801 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Temple Christian Pioneers (Lima, OH) and the visiting Elgin Comets (Marion, OH), saw Temple Christian's basketball squad hold off Elgin by a tally of 47-42.
With the victory, Temple Christian improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Ridgemont (Mount Victory, OH) to confront the Golden Gophers in a Northwest Central challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Golden Gophers come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Ridgemont won 77-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Ridgedale (Morral, OH)
Next up, the Comets confront the Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets (Rawson, OH) in a Northwest Central challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Elgin will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Fighting Hornets come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 38-36 league loss to Waynesfield-Goshen (Waynesfield, OH).
