Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) and the visiting Galloway Scots (Atlanta, GA), saw Mount Vernon's basketball squad wallop Galloway by a tally of 72-50.

With the victory, Mount Vernon improves its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Paideia (Atlanta, GA) to confront the Pythons in a A D1 Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Pythons come into the challenge with a record of 8-11. Paideia won 66-48 in their recent league challenge against Whitefield Academy (Mableton, GA)

Next up, the Scots encounter the Atlanta International Eagles (Atlanta, GA) in a A D1 Region 6 test, on Tuesday, January 23. Galloway will attempt to advance on its 4-15 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 3-15 record after their 63-37 non-league loss to Elite Scholars Academy (Jonesboro, GA).
