In Friday's league outing, the Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) basketball squad nipped the host St. Francis Knights (Alpharetta, GA), by a margin of 72-68.

The Mustangs (14-9) will now prepare for their outing against Mt. Bethel Christian Academy (Marietta, GA). The Eagles go into the A D1 Region 6 outing with a 15-5 record. In their last outing, Mt. Bethel Christian Academy got by Mount Pisgah Christian (Johns Creek, GA), 77-57, in a league outing.

The Knights now own a 10-9 record. They play next when they travel to King's Ridge Christian for a A D1 Region 6 outing on Friday, February 2.
