Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sanford-Fritch Eagles (Fritch, TX), 64-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Gruver upgrades its record to 13-11 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to West Texas (Stinnett, TX) to clash with the Comanches in a 2A Region I District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Comanches go into the bout with a record of 14-3. West Texas won 48-33 in their recent league bout against Booker (Booker, TX)
