Illinois High School Basketball - Henry-Senachwine nips Woodland
January 19, 2024: Henry, IL 61537 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Henry-Senachwine Mallards (Henry, IL) and the visiting Woodland Warriors (Streator, IL), saw Henry-Senachwine's basketball squad hold off Woodland by a tally of 45-39.
With the victory, Henry-Senachwine improves its record to 6-12 on the campaign. The Mallards host St. Bede (Peru, IL) to play the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 5-15. St. Bede won 59-52 in their recent league challenge against Putnam County (Granville, IL)
Next up, the Warriors play the Roanoke-Benson Rockets (Roanoke, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Woodland will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 56-35 non-league loss to Brimfield (Brimfield, IL).
