Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Henry-Senachwine Mallards (Henry, IL), 62-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Seneca upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Fighting Irish travel to Eureka (Eureka, IL) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 7-9. Eureka lost 52-46 in their recent league bout against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL)

Next up, the Mallards play the Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats (Washburn, IL) in a Tri-County bout, on Friday, January 12. Henry-Senachwine will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record.
