Kansas High School Basketball - Hill City can't hold off Phillipsburg
January 19, 2024: Phillipsburg, KS 67661 The Phillipsburg Panthers basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Hill City Ringnecks to 50 in the Panthers non-league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Norton for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Phillipsburg will battle a Bluejays team coming off a 57-31 non-league win over Plainville (Plainville, KS). The Bluejays record now stands at 9-1.
The Ringnecks (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Smith Center (Smith Center, KS). The Redmen come into the Mid-Continent contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Smith Center was nudged by Hoxie (Hoxie, KS), 55-47, in a non-league contest.
