The Sage Ridge Scorpions (Reno, NV) basketball crushed the host Whittell Warriors (Zephyr Cove, NV), 64-26 in Friday's league test.

The Scorpions (4-11) will now prepare for their test against Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV). The Serpents go into the 1A West test with a 10-8 record. In their last test, Mineral County walloped Pyramid Lake (Nixon, NV), 56-37, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they host Virginia City for a 1A West test on Monday, January 22. Whittell will encounter a Muckers squad coming off a 69-68 league loss to Smith Valley (Smith, NV). The Muckers record now stands at 11-4.
