Oklahoma High School Basketball - Sterling nips Walters
January 19, 2024: Sterling, OK 73567 Sterling Tigers (Sterling, OK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Walters Blue Devils (Walters, OK), 52-49 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Sterling upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Big Pasture (Randlett, OK) to play the Rangers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Rangers come into the bout with a record of 11-7. Big Pasture won 62-41 in their recent non-league bout against Chattanooga (Chattanooga, OK)
Next up, the Blue Devils play the Empire Bulldogs (Duncan, OK) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Walters will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 57-56 league loss to Ryan (Ryan, OK).
