Nebraska High School Basketball - Gretna East tops Benson
January 19, 2024: Omaha, NE 68104 Gretna East Griffins (Gretna, NE) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Benson Bunnies (Omaha, NE), 50-35 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Gretna East upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Griffins host Omaha Central (Omaha, NE) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league outing on Saturday, January 20. The Eagles go into the outing with a record of 13-3. Omaha Central lost 65-62 in their recent league outing against Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, NE)
The Bunnies now hold a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Bellevue East for a A District TBD outing on Saturday, January 20. Benson will clash with a Chieftains squad coming off a 53-48 league win over Millard South (Omaha, NE). The Chieftains record now stands at 7-5.
