Texas High School Basketball - Panhandle crushes Bovina
January 19, 2024: Panhandle, TX 79068 Panhandle Panthers (Panhandle, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bovina Mustangs (Bovina, TX), 79-7 in a league bout.
With the victory, Panhandle upgrades its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Farwell (Farwell, TX) to play the Steers in a 2A Region I District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Steers come into the bout with a record of 24-3. Farwell won 81-38 in their recent league bout against Vega (Vega, TX)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Highland Park Hornets (Amarillo, TX) in a 2A Region I District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Bovina will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 2-20 record after their 63-37 league loss to Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX).
