The Panhandle Panthers basketball team scored 78 points and restricted the visiting Boys Ranch Roughriders to 23 in the Panthers league victory on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vega for a 2A Region I District 3 contest on Friday, January 12. Panhandle will battle a Longhorns team coming off a 78-26 league win over Highland Park (Amarillo, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 10-15.

The Roughriders (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Bovina (Bovina, TX). The Mustangs come into the 2A Region I District 3 contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Bovina was routed by Farwell (Farwell, TX), 73-15, in a league contest.
