Canyon Comanches (Anaheim, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA), 31-21 in a league bout.

With the victory, Canyon upgrades its record to 15-7 on the campaign. The Comanches travel to Francis Parker (San Diego, CA) to play the Lancers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 11-7. Francis Parker won 61-24 in their recent league bout against Pacific Ridge (Carlsbad, CA)

Next up, the Vanguards play the Yorba Linda Mustangs (Yorba Linda, CA) in a North Hills bout, on Tuesday, January 23. El Modena will attempt to upgrade on its 12-12 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 65-38 league loss to Villa Park (Villa Park, CA).
