Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC) and the visiting Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC), witnessed Carolina International's basketball squad crush Queen's Grant by a margin of 42-21.

The Comets (1-8) will now prepare for their test against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Patriots go into the 1A Metro 8 test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Piedmont Community Charter was trounced by Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC), 41-37, in a non-league test.
