Minnesota High School Basketball - Owatonna nips Faribault
January 19, 2024: Faribault, MN 55021 Owatonna Huskies (Owatonna, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Faribault Falcons (Faribault, MN), 43-38 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Owatonna upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Huskies host Mayo (Rochester, MN) to play the Spartans in a AAAA Section 1 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 12-4. Mayo lost 63-35 in their recent league bout against Lakeville North (Lakeville, MN)
Next up, the Falcons play the Northfield Raiders (Northfield, MN) in a AAA Section 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Faribault will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 62-45 league loss to Winona (Winona, MN).
