With the victory, Gilmer upgrades its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Buckeyes travel to Kilgore (Kilgore, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 3-14. Kilgore lost 51-39 in their recent league battle against Spring Hill (Longview, TX)
