January 19, 2024: Johnson City, TX 78636 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Johnson City Eagles (Johnson City, TX) and the visiting Harper Longhorns (Harper, TX), saw Johnson City's basketball squad wallop Harper by a tally of 44-13.
With the victory, Johnson City improves its record to 24-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Mason (Mason, TX) to confront the Punchers in a 2A Region IV District 29 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Punchers come into the challenge with a record of 8-10. Mason lost 50-43 in their recent league challenge against Goldthwaite (Goldthwaite, TX)
Next up, the Longhorns confront the San Saba Armadillos (San Saba, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Harper will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Armadillos come into the challenge with a 18-5 record after their 61-5 league win over Center Point (Center Point, TX).
