January 19, 2024: Pearl, MS 39208 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) and the host Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders (Pearl, MS), saw Simpson Academy's basketball squad wallop Park Place Christian Academy by a tally of 60-7.
With the victory, Simpson Academy improves its record to 18-10 on the campaign. The Cougars host Leake Academy (Madden, MS) to confront the Rebels in a MAIS 5A District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 23-4. Leake Academy won 72-34 in their recent league challenge against Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS)
Next up, the Crusaders confront the Wayne Academy Jaguars (Waynesboro, MS) in a MAIS 5A District 2 challenge, on Saturday, January 20. Park Place Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 4-17 record after their 72-34 league loss to Leake Academy (Madden, MS).
