The Union Academy Cardinals basketball team scored 81 points and restricted the visiting South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls to 11 in the Cardinals league victory on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Pleasant for a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley contest on Tuesday, January 23.

The Rowdy Rebel Bulls (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Knights come into the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Gray Stone Day was routed by Albemarle (Albemarle, NC), 72-24, in a league contest.
