January 2, 2024: Vienna, OH 44473 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mathews Mustangs (Vienna, OH) and the visiting Cardinal Huskies (Middlefield, OH), saw Mathews's basketball squad wallop Cardinal by a tally of 64-37.
With the victory, Mathews improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Harding (Fairport Harbor, OH) to play the Skippers in a Northeastern challenge on Friday, January 5. The Skippers come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Harding won 93-66 in their recent non-league challenge against Conneaut (Conneaut, OH)
Next up, the Huskies play the Grand Valley Mustangs (Orwell, OH) in a Chagrin Valley - Valley challenge, on Saturday, January 6. Cardinal will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 83-57 non-league win over Conneaut (Conneaut, OH).
