South Dakota High School Basketball - Custer holds off Sturgis Brown
January 2, 2024: Sturgis, SD 57785 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Custer Wildcats (Custer, SD) and the host Sturgis Brown Scoopers (Sturgis, SD), saw Custer's basketball squad hold off Sturgis Brown by a tally of 51-44.
With the victory, Custer improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Milbank (Milbank, SD) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Milbank lost 58-23 in their recent non-league challenge against Britton-Hecla (Britton, SD)
Next up, the Scoopers confront the More Cavaliers (Rapid City, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Sturgis Brown will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 41-39 league win over Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD).
