Virginia High School Basketball - Phoebus overwhelms Gloucester
January 2, 2024: Hampton, VA 23663 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA) and the visiting Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA), saw Phoebus's basketball squad wallop Gloucester by a count of 61-17.
With the victory, Phoebus upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Phantoms travel to Menchville (Newport News, VA) to play the Monarchs in a Peninsula challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a record of 8-2. Menchville won 65-44 in their recent league challenge against Hampton (Hampton, VA)
Next up, the Dukes play the Heritage Hurricanes (Newport News, VA) in a Peninsula challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Gloucester will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 57-14 league loss to Bethel (Hampton, VA).
