Arkansas High School Basketball - Osceola fells Newport
January 2, 2025: Newport, AR 72112 The Osceola Seminoles basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Newport Greyhounds to 40 in the Seminoles league triumph on Thursday.
The Seminoles now have a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Blytheville for a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. Osceola will confront a Chickasaws team coming off a 79-47 non-league loss to Jonesboro (Jonesboro, AR). The Chickasaws record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, Newport falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Bald Knob (Bald Knob, AR) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Friday, January 3. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 11-4. Bald Knob lost 52-51 in their recent non-league game against White County Central (Judsonia, AR)
