January 2, 2025: Los Angeles, CA 90036 Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) Panthers (Los Angeles, CA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Shalhevet Firehawks (Los Angeles, CA), 41-33 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) advances its record to 10-8 on the year. The Panthers travel to Holy Martyrs Armenian (Encino, CA) to face the Armens in a Independence match on Saturday, January 4. The Armens enter the match with a record of 12-3. Holy Martyrs Armenian won 56-51 in their recent non-league match against Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA)
The Firehawks now own a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oxnard for a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. Shalhevet will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 76-47 non-league win over Royal (Simi Valley, CA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 9-4.
