In Thursday's non-league test, the Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Montgomery County Eagles (Mt. Vernon, GA), by a score of 36-23.

Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Vidalia Indians (Vidalia, GA) in a A D1 Region 3 test, on Friday, January 3. Toombs County will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Indians come into the test with a 8-5 record after their 44-35 non-league loss to Burke County (Waynesboro, GA).
