January 2, 2025: Pine Island, MN 55963 Triton Cobras (Dodge Center, MN) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN), 70-48 in a league match.
With the victory, Triton upgrades its record to 12-1 on the year. The Cobras travel to St. Croix Lutheran (West St. Paul, MN) to face the Crusaders in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Crusaders enter the match with a record of 4-6. St. Croix Lutheran won 66-49 in their recent non-league match against Maranatha Christian Academy (Brooklyn Park, MN)
The Panthers now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lourdes for a AA Section 1 match on Friday, January 3. Pine Island will face a Eagles squad coming off a 63-48 league loss to Stewartville (Stewartville, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 6-5.
