Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Buford Yellowjackets (Lancaster, SC), 75-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cheraw upgrades its record to 6-15 on the campaign. The Braves host North Central (Kershaw, SC) to play the Knights in a AA Region 4 bout on Tuesday, January 25. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 9-3. North Central lost 45-34 in their recent league bout against Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Andrew Jackson Volunteers (Kershaw, SC) in a AA Region 4 bout, on Monday, January 24. Buford will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Volunteers come into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 53-51 league loss to Central (Pageland, SC).
