Iowa High School Basketball - Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn can't hold off St. Mary's
January 20, 2022: Remsen, IA 51050 The St. Mary's Hawks basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks to 49 in the Hawks league victory on Thursday.
The Hawks now sport a 15-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harris-Lake Park for a War Eagle contest on Tuesday, January 25. St. Mary's will battle a Wolves team coming off a 69-43 league loss to Hinton (Hinton, IA). The Wolves record now stands at 2-9.
The Hawks (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against West Sioux (Hawarden, IA). The Falcons come into the War Eagle contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, West Sioux edged Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA), 72-66, in a league contest.
