Santana Sultans (Santee, CA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA), 3-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Sultans face the Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA) in a Grossmont Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 25. Santana will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record.

The Monarchs now have a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host Steele Canyon for a Grossmont Valley challenge on Thursday, January 27.
