South Carolina High School Basketball - Burke thwarts Palmetto Scholars Academy
January 20, 2023: North Charleston, SC 29418 The Burke Bulldogs (Charleston, SC) basketball knocked off the host Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix (North Charleston, SC), 56-41 in Friday's league test.
The Bulldogs (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Cross (Cross, SC). The Trojans go into the A Region 8 test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Cross notched a victory over Lowcountry Leadership (Hollywood, SC), 78-40, in a league test.
The Phoenix now own a 0-14 record. They play next when they host Military Magnet Academy for a A Region 8 test on Tuesday, January 24. Palmetto Scholars Academy will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 50-48 league loss to Charleston Math & Science (Charleston, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 5-13.
