Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Canon-McMillan can't hold off West Allegheny
January 20, 2023: Canonsburg, PA 15317 The West Allegheny Indians basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Canon-McMillan Big Macs to 47 in the Indians non-league triumph on Friday.
The Indians now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chartiers Valley for a WPIAL 5A 4 contest on Friday, January 27. West Allegheny will battle a Colts team coming off a 54-44 non-league win over Trinity (Washington, PA). The Colts record now stands at 13-3.
The Big Macs (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA). The Quakers enter the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Quaker Valley nudged Montour (McKees Rocks, PA), 47-43, in a league contest.
