The Canyon Cowboys (Canyon Country, CA) basketball nipped the host Golden Valley Grizzlies (Santa Clarita, CA), 45-44 in Friday's league test.

The Cowboys (12-12) will now prepare for their test against Valencia (Valencia, CA). The Vikings go into the Foothill test with a 14-10 record. In their last test, Valencia got by Maranatha (Pasadena, CA), 59-53, in a non-league test.
