Loyola Cubs (Los Angeles, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Crespi Celts (Encino, CA), 51-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Loyola upgrades its record to 13-11 on the season. The Cubs host Calabasas (Calabasas, CA) to play the Coyotes in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Coyotes go into the bout with a record of 15-7. Calabasas won 58-55 in their recent league bout against Thousand Oaks (Thousand Oaks, CA)

Next up, the Celts play the Notre Dame (SO) Knights (Sherman Oaks, CA) in a Mission bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Crespi will attempt to upgrade on its 16-9 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 16-8 record after their 65-53 non-league win over Dougherty Valley (San Ramon, CA).
