The Villa Park Spartans basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting El Modena Vanguards to 57 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 16-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canyon for a Crestview contest on Tuesday, January 24. Villa Park will battle a Comanches team coming off a 58-51 non-league win over Poly (Riverside, CA). The Comanches record now stands at 19-5.

The Vanguards (15-9) will now prepare for their contest against Esperanza (Anaheim, CA). The Aztecs enter the North Hills contest with a 13-11 record. In their last contest, Esperanza was defeated by El Dorado (Placentia, CA), 48-41, in a league contest.
