Tennessee High School Basketball - Father Ryan can't hold off Ensworth
January 20, 2023: Nashville, TN 37221 The Ensworth Tigers basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Father Ryan Fightin' Irish to 44 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sparkman for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. Ensworth will battle a Senators team coming off a 55-32 non-league win over Hazel Green (Hazel Green, AL). The Senators record now stands at 18-6.
The Fightin' Irish (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Montgomery Bell Academy (Nashville, TN). The Big Red come into the Division II-AA Middle contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Montgomery Bell Academy was nudged by Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, TN), 65-47, in a league contest.
